Crisis and trauma interventions for the recovery workers and victim families: September 11, 2001 through May 30, 2002 For nine months, K-9 Disaster Relief provided crisis intervention on World Trade Center "Ground Zero." The Foundation continues to provide trauma and traumatic stress services throughout New York City. It is a service provider for the State of  New York Office of Mental Health and "Project Liberty" - - as well as other, federal state and city agencies.  K-9 Disaster Relief is a first responder organization, providing canine crisis intervention as requested by partnering disaster relief organizations throughout the United States, including The American Red Cross and Salvation Army Disaster Services.
